a buddy oh mine has a pre runner and is looking for about 2-3 in lift mainly to clear tires but isnt looking for body lift i suggested coil spacers in the front and eitehr blocks or shackles in the rear but i was just curious what other cheap but steardy options were out there

I would use shackles in the back over blocks. You could also use an add a leaf in the back, but that would stiffen up the springs a little. The other option would be a longer shackle and a one inch block.

so use a coil spacer in the front plus shackels in the rear?

I think that would be the best way to lift it for cheap. You will likely need longer shocks.
