Was in the process of rebuilding a new engine for my 94 Toyota P/U. In October of last year my truck was totaled by an uninsured motorist and I got the short end of the stick. I had wonderful hopes of yanking out the old tired 22re under the hood and experiencing the power of a new engine, but that will not happen. My arm was twisted by the wife to get a family oriented vehicle and I am now driving around an Xterra. (I know, I know)
I completed the engine anyways and now it is setting covered on an engine stand in the corner of the garage. I need to get it a home. I am asking $900.00.

Here is the history. For you Salt Lake locals I purchased the short block from Japanese Auto Wrecking in Lehi. Block was in superb condition. Drop this off to be rebuilt by the local best David Yates at Pro Machine in Murray. He basically started from scratch by grinding and balancing the crank. resurfacing the head. Honed the cylinders and finished off by cleaning , and painting the block black. Installed all new bushings/bearings, rods, cylinders, and freeze caps. He did a wonderful job.

The head was purchased from Renton Head Specialists out of Washington state. The head is glass beaded and coated against corrosion. All new valves, springs, and bushings. I had them make a minor upgrade to the RV Cam for alittle more low rpm torque without compromising emissions. The head is installed to the block with new Felpro head gasket. It is torqued down with new head bolts. New rocker assembly installed.

New timing chain cover, new water pump, new (high volume) oil pump. new timing components and upgraded metal-backed timing chain tensioners. Upper timing chain cam sprocket was purchased from RC Engineering and is adjustable, allowing the ability to dial in the cam. For those not familiar with dialing in or fine tuning the timing, I do have the regular cam sprocket that can quickly be changed out.

Many extras already installed. New EGR valve with sensor, new PAIR valve, gas rail with new Cold Start injector, cleaned and recondtioned air intake manifold, emissions and exhaust rails.

Originally I had all new balanced injectors installed, but I have since sold those a few months ago.

Will throw in the engine stand with the engine.

I am looking for serious buyers only who are willing to pick-up from Sandy, Utah.

Feel free to email me with any questions, be happy to send pics.

George
