Ok so i worked for americas tire for leike a year and a half and i no from that, that wheel spacers arent extremely safe and they are know for falling off. but i want my wheels to stick out more and i already have the most off-set you can get on 10 inch 6 lugs. So i was thinking of wheel spacers but i would like to no other peoples opinions. I no i could get another set of axsles from a ford or something but im thinking cheap. So opinions would be nice. thanks dave.
Most people run spacers up front in sac trucks due to the rearend being wider on later model trucks. I think they're 1.5 '' but It was along time back when I did mine.

I've been using 2" all around adapters for 4yrs now with NO problem's........
I used NEW wheel studs and nuts all around and they have NEVER losened up at all.........
The diffrence between spacers and adapters is, spacers are like a big washer and adapters bolt to the hub and then the wheel bolts to the adapter.

I run 1 1/2" spacers up front so that my front end matches my IFS rear end, which is 3" wider than my '85's original axle. I have them torqued to spec (85 lbft IIRC) with Loctite red and have never had to retorque them in about 3 yrs now. Well, I bought my tires (Khumos, which I happen to love, btw) at, you guessed it, America's tire stores so, I have the lifetime rotation and balance package. I brought it in for it's 5th rotation and I tell them I'm going down the street to grab a bite, when I get back, I notice these clowns have their torque wrench on my spacers attempting to "retorque them to 100 lbft and I say "what the hell are you doing" and they give their "we don't normally service cars (trucks) with wheel spacers....they're dangerous....blah, blah, blah , speech, I tell them "I paid for this service and that they are going to honor it and to never touch my spacers again because for one thing, they're trying to overtorque them and that they had now broken the Loctite seal and that now I'll have to redo it again. They tell me if I bring them some Loctite, they'll redo it for me and I tell them NO and stress again, to never mess with them again. Have you ever seen them work a torque wrench? They bounce on the wrench, you NEVER torque something that way (as soon as I get home, I retorque my lugs). Sorry for the long post but, my point is, wheel spacers are perfectly safe if installed correctly and kept away from knuckleheads with torque wrenches that don't know how to use them  -------------Hans

Yea i m the type of person to do the same thing about wheel spacers. when i worked there i had no problem with wheel spacers. if they brought their car in with wheel spacers then im puting them back the way i found it and torqueing them to spec which is 80 pounds on the chart. i didnt think they were a big deal. and yeah some people are just hella stupid. does n e one no of maybe a website i can order the 2"wheel adapters from for cheap or n e thing???

Ditto. Just keep in mind they may accelerate wear on the wheel bearings if it's a DD.

well dont worry i promise not to be a douch bag. n e ways yeah most of em are going for 120 for 3 inch and like 80 for 2 inch. I want 3 inch but that might end up ooking rediculous so i might just end up going with 2. Which looks better to you guys. I already have 10 inch wide wheels and a 2 inch off-set. so there super deep already.
