alternator questions

I've got a 1980 toyota truck with the 20r and the alternator is bad. can i do a gm 1 wire swap on this truck and if so anyone got directions?

Ya, its fairly easy. You need to build a bracket to hold the bottom of the alternater and a adjuster. you have to bend the adjuster or use a spacer to get it to line up.I put mine on the passenger side and used 1/4x3/4 flat bar to make my bracket.Then hook a wire from alternater to battery and a belt.
