Well i just went out and bought a 85 yota pickup. i had enough with the old truck. anyways, it looks like it was the loaded up version. it has factory fog lights, tilt wheel, power window and locks, ac, power steering, and somthing on the dash. it looks like a altimiter and a tilt-o-meter ! it doesent appear to work, but ive never seen anything like it before and dont know how to fix or adjust it. does anyone have any ideas? Thanks :help:

Altimeters contain aneroid wafers in the instrument that expand & contract as atmospheric pressure changes, and through a shaft & gear linkage, rotate pointers on the instrument face. The altimeter is subject to errors too: warm/high pressure days the Alt. indicates lower than actual altitude. Cold/low pressure days the Alt. indicates higher than actual altitude. The altimeter gets its pressure reading from a Static Source. There should be a thin line connected to the back of the instrument which either takes air pressure from inside the truck or is ran out side the truck. Make sure it is not clogged.

This may sound stupid, but both of mine also have a lock switch. Make sure it's not locked.
