ok, im changing all the tie rods, pitman, idler arm,& ball joints on my 1990 toyota std cab 4wd, IFS. My haynes manual says that the tie rod lengths (outside end to outside end) should be equal both sides, and measure approx. 12.38", or 314mm. My inital measures came out to 14.125" & 14.125" on original tie rods, my alignment was fine before, no pulls, no wobble, just a noisy tie rod. Should i try the haynes or go with my original? or preferably, does anyone know the actual, keep in mind my suspension is not adjusted, i.e. torsion bars at stock settings, no lift, other than 31" tires. And I will most definely have a pro. alignment after, i just wanna make sure its close & equal on both sides.
thanks,
John
