:help: hi all, since finding your sight i've figured out that my wife's 87 22re has blown a head gasket that i need to replace (Since being over heated after blowing a hose near the t-stat housing,Running crappy at idle, blowing bubbles into the overflow tank and that oh shit color to the oil) but i need to know the who, what , and where do i get the preferred sevice book that covers the 22re and the different related years. i've alway's had simple v-8's with carbs and i want a book that says more than the typical.... re-asemble in the reverse order of dis-assembly. i want to know what all that little shit is for and what are all those hoses for, how the fuel system works, the electronic's etc. :help: :help: i want to learn alot about the 22re for this and my other 4 runner. any suggestion's??

Haynes repair manuals are good for info. I'm not sure how much they will tell you about how stuff works but they will tell you how to repair things on the truck. http://www.autobarn.com/guides.haynes.app5.htm#TOYOTA. The book you need is #92075 I think it is $17-18.

Nothing beats the Factory Service Manual.
