Hello, on my 1980 Toyota 4x4 i have a push button start, basicly i turn the key to start and then push the button and it starts,,, well i disconected that cleaning up my wiring and now i put it back to gether, i got one wire that goes from the starter to the push button switch, what do i do with the other wire.... do i conncet the other wire from the battery to the push button switch!!!!

I think you had it wired through your switch somehow. Thats the right way anyway, that way noone can go screwing with your starter while there is no key in. OH, put a good size fuse on both ends and youll save yourself a lot of burnt switches, wires, etc.

Thats a pretty common fix on 80's trucks, I've had to do that to 2.
One switch wire should go to the starter solenoid and the other to 12V.

I have had a push button start for years in my Zuk. Works like a charm.
