newbie here, just got an 83 and am a little gung ho on building it but want to do the research to get it done right. so whats the story on using 63" chev springs? whats the benifits and does it just take longer shackles or do they need to be relocated. How much lift will the stock springs give. if I get 4" lift springs for the front what size lift should I get on the chevs? I appreciate any ideas.

63" chevies in the rear you will have to relocate the spring hangers forward, and the shackle mounts back. and you will want to use a drop shackle bracket and long shackles so you don't have to use blocks on the axle.

PM Ktoy on here he has the chevies in the rear and stock yota rears up front as his set up. If you PM him I bet he will explain it better then me

what tt said. i had to use a 2 inch drop hanger in the rear and 8 inch shackles. then 4 inch shackles up front. and rear toy up front gave me like 5 inch lift plus shackle lift. chevies give you about 3 plus drop hangers plus shackles.

i have like 9 inches of suspension total i think. plus a 3 inch body lift.

and you have a pm.
