I recently rounded up a second 86 4runner and started right in on doing a full tune up on it. But when it comes to timing it I cannot get it to act correctly. When I jumper the harness to drop the overall timing it does not change the timing at all? It remains the same. I have done all new plugs wires cap,rotor,filter,oil. You name it. Why doesn't the timing differ? and should I be worried about it?
