I broke mine off... got them out but anybody ever done this or know what might cause this?

Wow, never done that, but I did break some head bolts one time, it was due to a faulty torque wrench, recalibrated it and was fine after that.

what happened is the bolts loosened up. when they loosen up, there's no friction between the flywheel and the crank so the bolts just sheer. did you recently put on a new clutch? if so, did you use loc tight on the bolts? if not, there's your problem. also, make sure you torque then down correctly.

thats what i figured is that some loosened and the wobble sheared them off.... no new clutch(should have done that while i got it torn apart but it looks ok and isnt old.)

how hard do u guys torque these bolts? Last time I did it according to the haynes manual but this time i cranked em down.... so far so good.
