So, I'm a virgin LC owner, so I admittedly don't know much of what I'm doing. But I'm planning on learning.

My first projects are to add a rear hitch (and a bike rack), and a roof rack.

Both of these things dont seem too major, but I don't really know where to start.

I'm thinking of getting the hitch done at just a UHaul place or something like that. Just a standard add-on, underneath reciever hitch.

I'm not a fan of the Thule/Yakima roof rack's, I'd rather go with the other styles which seem more generic, and stonger. But I figured I'd post this on this site to see what you all recommend.

As for my planned usage of my Cruiser: to start with, I wont go to crazy...some easy/moderate off-road stuff of course...I go camping A LOT...mountain biking...stuff like that. I live in Utah...go to Moab a lot.

Also, I've got a White Rim Trail permit for May 15th...so I'm hoping to get this thing "trail ready" in a hurry.

Anyway...any suggestions would be welcome.

Thanks!

What model Land Cruiser do you have? You might want to check out the local TLCA Chapter, Wasatch Cruisers.

It's a 1993 Cruiser. Appears to be a 80FZ...if I am interpreting everything correctly.

I've registered at Wasatch Cruisers, but I"m still waiting on my login to be activated by the Mod's. And some of the links on that site appear to be dead...so I havent connected up with them yet. But that seems to be a good local resource to use.

I'd love to meet up with the Wasatch Cruisers the next time they get together.

 Hi again Jeremy!

lol. right back at ya.

Sidenote: My longterm goal is that my Cruiser will be a Maroon version of the one you've got posted up on here. Very cool.
