hate to tell ya but that ain't a power wagon. Thats a d-200 if it's anything. A 73 powerwagon is a 4x4 with a 203 transfer and manual locking hubs. I know this due to the fact I have 2 '73 W-100's,1 '72 -200, 1 '78 and 1 '81 MW-250 military. But the truth is....... the color is right for the year. If I'm right its f-8 Chrysler dark metallic green, but the engine is wrong for a d-200.Should be a 318 with a 4bbl carter thermoquad. That stripe only came on the d-150 "Warlock" edition or the "Macho" powerwagon edition. All in all thats still a good looking truck! Wanna race my Super Bee? you'll find out if it's a Mopar or a slowpar!

could have swore I saw a Yota Symbol on it...... picky people. Anyway whats the tranny in it? I'm looking for parts for my boyz and they share alot of stuff. Plus if he wants something worth something I have a RARE 1978 Dodge 4x4 VANcharger complete that I'm not doing anything with yet. It runs great and gets 22 mpg highway. Holley fuel inj kit and the whole 9. Tru- track richmond lockers and 36x12.5x15's. Restored it's worth 10 to 12,000.00

Im not sure what tranny is in it, but its a 4 speed.

This thing runs great. He would trade for a stock running toyota.

to tell the people who doubt the truth from 1962 to 1975 mopar DID make a tranny called the turbo 400 as a 4-speed manual, ultra low gear for heavy duty tow trucks but it was commercial only back then so don't get to knowledge happy about the names of parts. chevy made a 5.0 302 same as ford, dodge made a 352 same as ford and chevy, commercial is a whole new world and the true name of the "turbo" 400 chevy is a TH-400, 400-ss and 400-t but anyway skrew the non-sense, I like that truck and a mopar man obviously built it due to the engine build and the choice in stock clean colors. I want it but I need to know a few things for a final decition on the buy. I need the 8th number on down in the vin so I can see what it has had in it, or look at the list he has and let me know. I'll be sure to "tip" you if it has what I want and I buy it.

But the TH stands for Turbo Hydromatic so people just called them turbo's.

Ill call him tonight and ask him what the #s are. Yeah the first gear is really really low.

Those old four speeds tend to have really low first gears like 6 or 7 to 1.

i called him to get the vin # but he didnt answer so ill try tomarrow.

Yeah its pretty nice for towing though. You dont have to ride the clutch at all, just let out and go.

You are most definantly right, but "turbo" 400 is a pet or slang name in the case of the chevy tranny, Turbo 400-L17LR is the mopars equalizer to the chevy T-10 "Rock crusher"
