Hey, wanted to see if anybody has ever experienced a knocking sound coming from the cooling system on a 22RE engine. It almost sounds mechanical, but it is coming from the radiator when the engine is coming to an idle after running at normal RPM (coming to a red light). It is intermittent, say, maybe once every 10-15 minutes after the engine is up to temp. I'm stumped. There is a history of a badly corroded head on this truck, which I replaced 8 months ago. The cooling system has been flushed. The heater core almost couldn't be flushed there was so much debris in the cooling system. Any advise????
