i have an 1989 4runner what is the stock gearing ? i thought it was 4.10. would i be able to run some 34x10.5 tires with no problem?
sure if its a 5speed. shouldnt be a problem.... but to get good gas milage some 4.88 would work well.

I dont have the dough to upgrad my gears so i dont adhere to this:

but i run 35" on stock 4.30 r/p
its kinda gutless, slipping the clutch in the mud alot in 4 HI, but 4 Lo is no prob.

You'd have 2 problems, you'd have a loss in power, mileage would go down, and 5th gear would be totally useless.
Ok, so that's 3
You really need 4.88 gearing for 34's.
