Ok I am rebuilding my knuckles and I can't for the life of me get the new inner axle seals in. do you guys have any tips? thanks

Uase a socket the same dimeter as the seal to bang it in.

Thx I already got it I had to heat up the housing and freeze the seal and it went in real easy. When I tried before it was just above freezing. thx again

what year of yota do you have? i just went through the front on my 90' new axles, tie rod end, seals, repacked wheelbearings.

Invest $30 in a seal driver set, like this one: http://www.sjdiscounttools.com/lis24800.html :rolleyes: ......you'll wonder why you didn't do it sooner..........Hans

Or get the same exact set from Harbor Freight for under $10.
It is handy to have.

It is handy to have.I looked at the Harbor Freight version but, the discs were made of plastic! The Lisle kit uses machined aluminum pucks that double as bearing race drivers........Hans
Freezing the new seal in the freezer for about an hour or so has always been enough to work for me. They slip in good with a few taps on a properly sized socket.
