I've got a bunch of the "black goo" mentioned in the tech article on here in my 93' 4cyl and was thinking about yanking the plenum and injectors and cleaning everything. How difficult is the process and from those of you that have done it, did you notice a difference afterwards and was it worth the work? Thanks guys

Very well worth it. i just used brake cleaner to get the black goo off, but any kind of degreaser should work. Just realize that you will have to disconnect a alot of the wiring harness. Just label everything and you should be fine, but most plugs will only go to one connector.

I'm guessing it's a pretty straightforward proceedure. Anything I should know about yanking the injectors or the plenum? I'd hate to break something expensive while trying to dismantle everything. Thanks
