I am currently in the market for some fiberglass front fenders for my 1st gen. 4Runner. Is there any one who has installed a set? Who is the manufacture? And would you recommend them why or why not? Also if you have any pics of them installed please post them.

Thanks Scott

Just be careful who you get them from. I got a set just a few weeks ago from a manufacturer who shall remain nameless. I was charged a 35 dollar "boxing" fee, for which I got a piece of flat cardboard literally stapled around the fenders the way an average 12 year old would do it (and very thin cardboard at that!!). It was supposed to come "very carefully packaged so as to totally prevent damage during shipment" as it was quoted to me. This I gather is interpreted as-Ill quick put a thin layer of bubble wrap around both fenders at the same time, thatll do..........". Id also question the EXACT amount charged for shipping, as that wasnt as they quoted either. Im just a little pissed that companys like this are still out there, and I would have immediately sent them back, except I was hooked on this style fender. So I fixed the shipping damage (cracks), and had them painted. You wont catch me recomending their product to anyone, nor will I purchase from them again (Ill fix these till they fall off my damn truck!!!)

Thanks for the reply. I'm not looking for you to bash the vendor, but would appreciate if you would mention the company's name. Did you contact the manufacture and give them the opportunity to make things right? If you did and they didn't make things right, then you should definitely post their name. I won't do business with a company that don't appreciate their customers. What style did you choose? Where they a good fit? Any pics?
Thanks Scott

I think they all fit the same (pretty crappy), but with some patience, they will fit well. I wasnt given the opportunity to have it made right, hence the fact I fixed it myself. It was kind of a take it or leave it attitude. I was really frustrated at the big underquote on shipping, and the attitude I was given after they charged it on my card (thats when I found out how much they REALLY charged me, nice huh :bluecryin )
Id rather not bash the vendor publicly though.

I hate to be the one to push this but I just went through it on anouther board I frequent. If they (the vendor) did this to you than they will do it to anyone else who uses this board. By telling us who did it you may help prevent others from loseing out on money time and a better product they could have gotten somewhere else.
