I've got a 94 reg cab pickup i did a sas on and put chevy springs in the rear, and put my rears up front. With this setup my front springs are almost flat when just sitting in the garage. What would be my best bet to swap in to get a little more arch for some uptravel in the front? Would 4x2 springs instead of the 4x4 springs make a difference? and if i could get a couple extra inches of lift it would be great too.

my friends 84 had the same problem. he has thinking of putting 2 inch blocks in the front but in colorado its ilegal to put any spacers in the front because when you you hit the brakes there is so much preasure that the u bolts would break and the axle will come off the truck. So intead he had to but a 3 inch lift in order to get that front end up.

I'm currently running and have on another truck YJ rear springs. They have a light spring rate and are inexpensive. Only thing is they don't move axle forward any. But 2" give about 3" of lift 4" give 5" etc.
blocks in the front is not an option.
what i did is added another set of leafs to make them arch more and give them more strength.
im my front i have
3 85 rears
3 91 rears
1 97 rear
so a total of 7 springs in my front leaf pack
gave me 2 more inches of lift and no mor flat springs.

They are a bolt in and center pin is same as toy. I don't know the measurements off hand. Only thing i had to do to put them in my toy is shave the bushings (to wide).
This is were i got my first set. Not on this build but my other truck. He only has 1 spring on now but usually has a few.

Hope that helps. Another option is YJ springs from Summit, they are pro comp, they are stiffer but even cheaper.

What about re-arching?
I bought a dead 81 p/u for a SAS donor for my van, and it had had the springs rearched, and the truck sat several inches, maybe 4?, taller than a stock Toy p/u, thinkin' about havin' done to my new 4runnah'
Questions are where? How much? and does it increase travel? and by how much?

I'm not a fan of front blocks myself. Would personally never do it but did you know some for 1 tons came from the factory with 1" front blocks? Kinda scary huh?
kinda!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
dang american truck makers. thats why toyotas are so much better.
they would never put blocks in the front.

im using double pack from a 87 runner for my fronts. takes to set of leafs to make one set but i think they will work ok for the 3inches of lift i want.
moves the axle foward 2inches. and therre 5 leaf packs just have to
cut the other leafs down.
then im using ranger spings from a 00 ford ranger that are 56 inches long
and if you need more lift in the front
consider shackles never never try blocks
