welder, tube bender, DOM, grinder, rattle can and a winch, that's all the bumper you'll ever need, and you can make it as cool as you want too!

^^^^ The only way to do it. But if you don't have the skills or tools I know Smittybuilt makes them. At first I doubted the quality until I introduced it to the side of a Chrysler LHS last Saturday. The tube held up unbelievably well with only scuffs from the other car. But the brackets all bent. They can be fixed. The Chrysler was totaled. I did about $4000 in damage to him. In a situation like that something has to give. and the mounting brackets are the best thing cause if the tube bent, the bumper would be toast and if the brackets and tube didn't bend it would have bent my frame.
Anyway, I give smittybuilt a little more credit now. Go check them out.

they're ok, they're heavy and big though, my best friend has one on his truck and the last wheeling trip he went on, he ended up face planting the bumper trying to get down a steep hill and bent the brackets, but then again like you said above it didn't bend the tube
