OK, I have a 89 ext cab pick-up, It has some kind of bolt on aftermarket IFS suspension system.. nothing fancy, just like what 90% of toys running around have... I'm currently running 33's with no problems at all...

My question is how big of a body lift will I need to safely run 37's? Keep in mind I'm plannin on doin the SAS sometime soon, and I will eventually need a body lift for when I go to drop in the small block 350 I'm buildin up.... Downey offroad suggest a 2" to 3" body lift to give clearence for the new engine....

Any info would be greatly appreciated.

Assuming it is a four inch suspension lift, you could probably get away with a 2" body lift to clear 37's. The IFS will probably hold up OK depending on how hard you drive it.

Different engine, but with the 3" body lift I only have maybe 1/2" clearance over the Turbo. Depending on what intake and carb/EFI setup you use I'd go with the 3".

anyone else recomend the 4crawler body lift kits??? and what is the best one to get? aluminium blocks, poly urathaine? If I have to do a body lift, I want the best one out there.

Roger Brown (4Crawler) makes the best body lifts on the market. I would second one of his kits.
