Has anyone done propane on a pickup. My motor is actually a 22RE but I have put the carburated manifold and distributor and have a tentative part list but I would like to hear from anyone that has done it before. Carburated or fuel injected it doesnt matter, I am just curious about mixer size and evaporator part numbers and what not? Thanks

you can do it but it will run about 3400.00 for the evap and mixer kit :1shifty:
if you convert to a diesel engine it's about 860.00 with tank and all.
Go check out www.gotpropane.com
they have a kit for yotas, and i think it is around 900 bucks w/ out a tank

Yeah I have been on that site. That kit they sell is nice but propane is way too easy to buy a $900 kit when I can do it for around $500. I dont know where that $3400 came from. The only thing I havent been able to find out for sure is what size mixor and which evaporator to run. The rest I have already. Oh well, thanks for the thoughts. Its always tgood to have that other opinion

This has gone over countless times on Pirate and Marlincrawler bulletin boards. Check em out. There is a wealth of info on this subject, w/ buildups and part numbers and everything.
