A toyota dealership found the code p01135--air fuel ratio sensor. I would like to know where it is located and what it looks like. Toyota wanted to charge me a arm and a leg. Is this part available through a local parts shop or does it have to be ordered by a toyota dealer? thanks and PLEASE HELP!!!

The Air/Fuel Ratio Sensor is the very first O2 sensor located in the exhaust. There are multipul O2 sensors in the exhaust but it is the very first sensor or "Bank 1 sensor 1". As far as I know the dealership is your only option. They are easy to install, I would buy it from Toyota's parts department and install it yourself to save some labor cost. A problem that you will run into when doing this is that even when the new part is installed, you will most likely have a check engine light because the code will be stored in the computer, the light needs to be reset and the code has to be cleared. You clear the codes by using the scanner that was used to pull the code. Sometimes if you replace the part and disconnect the battery for a couple of minutes, the code will be cleared. Is it a V6 or V8?
