Maybe one of you yota guys is a closet jeep fan. Here goes;

I have an 81 jeep scrambler frame up resto project that i would like to trade for an old complete yota. For those who dont know, a cj-8 is a rare longer version of a cj7 with a half cab and truck bed. The project is completely disassembled and will require a lot of time effort and $ to finish. But, if you know jeeps, you know these are rare sweet jeeps.

So heres a summary:

The hardtop and doors, bulkhead, hood and windshield frame are in very good shape. Im not sure about the front fenders, i think at least one is in rough shape. The grill, headlights and such are in good shape. The stock drivetrain is there. Iron duke, sr4 four speed, and dana 300 tcase. The front dana 30 is in running order but the amc 20 rear is in bad shape. I wouldnt count on using it.

Seeing as how this came with a chevy motor and bellhousing, a 350 or chevy 4.3 would bolt right up. As a matter of fact i have a 327 block bolted to it for reference. The 327 block doesnt go with the jeep but i have an NP435 tranny and NP205 tcase that i'll let go with it. Basically i've lost interest in it and would like to find somethin a little less ambitious.

This really is a finishable project for somebody willing to do some bodywork, swap a rear axle, some new springs, a 350 so on and so forth.

Believe it or not i paid $1800 for it last year and have done a whole bunch of work on it. Like i said im just burnt out on it and im not stuck on doin a scrambler.

Much as i hate to admit it, dad sold his truck so i cant deliver, but i will help load er up if somebody brings a trailer.

I have extensive pics of the jeep before and during teardown and how things look now. Email me at bullvi22@gmail.com for pics. Thanks.
