so the off-road lights i hooked up i think jsut screwed me over. i didnt have an inline fuse or anything for them and i think i had to much power running to them and the wire that ran to the toggle switch and to the lights from the battery decided to fry. in the process of melting it melted some other stuff like some emmisions hose, which i called my toyota shop parts guy and he said that it shouldnt be a problem, because my bigger problem is that my truck wont turn on now. the key turns in the ignition but it doesnt turn on. i have a remote start on my truck and when i try to use it it will turn the warning lights on like it always has, then it clicks (im assuming that this is when the signal goes to the starter and turns the motor over) but nothing happens after it clicks. the headlight dont turn on, or the interiors, which they normally would even without the key in it. i checked the fuses under the hood and they look fine to me, except i dont know how to tell if the stater fuse or the other big black 3 and 4 prong ones are good or not? my truck is a 92' 4x4 v6 auto...if you need any other info i will try to help. i really hope its not something serious, cuz i really dont want to have it towed to my dealer. thanks for helping guys...

there are fuses on the iside of the truck as well.
drivers side kick panel below the steering wheel.

see if you blew the starter or ignition fuse or something.

also disconnect yur battery for about 15 minutes and see what happens see if your system resets..

worse case scenerio is you blew up your computer BUT I DOUBT IT.

ok so i tried the battery thing and it works! thanks alot...but now for one last question...i got to get it down to my dealer still so i can get the steering something recall done to it. with out one of the emmisions hoses you think it will be safe to drive it about 20 miles? i think it one of the vacum hoses that goes into a 3 hose deal into the motor. if you dont know thats fine ill jsut ask my dealer/parts guy...thanks...

depending on which vaccum hose it is,

if it runs and idles fine, just drive it on over. if it doesn't, go to any car parts store and show them the fried one and just have them cut you one the same length and just replace it yourself, since itsonly one hose it should be fairly easy to replace by just tracing where the old one went.
