I have a 1984 4Runner that I was thinking about selling. What would it be worth. It is pretty much stock except for the tires which are 31x10.5x15 TSL's. The tires probally have 70% tread left. This truck runs pretty well it does smoke a little when you crank it up but uses hardly any oil between changes. It has no rust as it has been in central NC since it was new. The interior is not too good all of the carpet has been removed and the seats are O.K. Just looking for a general idea for the worth of this truck. Thanks in advance.

yeah right .... !!!
solid axle , w/EFI is a very desirable unit . in good shape , put some interior in it , and it should be in the 3G area .

At the very most 1800.00 I'd say maybe 1500.00 I paid 2500.00 for mine in excellent condition.

EFI didn't come out til 85......
you could probably get around 1500-2000 if its in great shape, but if I were buying a truck and I saw it smokes, I instantly wouldn't want to pay more than around 1000

let us know when you put it up for sale. i'll jump in the muck pile! a rust-free 1st gen is rare here in the east anywhere north of SC!

Maybe up in Canuck land, but here in the mid-Atlantic area $800-1000 is what it would go for. I bought my 84 for $900, in better condition then he is describing, 3-1/2 years ago
