Yes you can lift it, but I wouldn't waste my money doing it. Just get a three inch body lift, some 33's and a locker in the back.

That sounds a lot cheaper to and sounds like it well work, and thats all that matters :redspotda

A suspension lift for IFS does not increase wheel travel (in most cases), it only allows you to run bigger tires. A body lift will accomplish the same thing for less money.

Plus your ride, steering, etc. doesn't change.

What about your bumpers? Do they need to be moved? If they do how so?

if ur putting a locker in and u have the money u should think about going to 4.88's if ur going to 33's, not needed but alil easier on the clutch imo

Rear bumper doesn't have to be moved. The front bumper is raised with the body lift but it should come with all the necessary hardware.

Suspension lifts have lots of "hidden" costs too. Like needing new shocks, longer brake lines, steering parts, and an alignment. Plus a crappy ride, and more wear and tear on CV joints.

When I wheeled my old 87 Runner prior to buying my 85 I just ran 32s. I could do most trails that I was interested in and the cost wasn't too bad. I had 2 sets of rims/tires though so that the daily driving wasn't as bad and the mud tires didn't wear out too fast. I didn't gear down but wished I had. I ran 31s for every day driving, so that wasn't bad. My wife's current 87 runs stock gearing with 31s as well. I didn't need a body lift for the 32s.

That looks awesome! A friend of mine had a 94 4-Runner with a four inch trailmaster lift, and 35's. He wheeled the crap out of it, but the front was really bouncy with the torsion bars cranked. That was it's demise as he hit a ditch at 45 and bounced it onto it's top and slid down the gravel road. We would have cut the top off and built a cage and kept wheeling it but the 3.0 siezed up so it was done.
