Cool snorkel. I had one on my Range Rover that I made out of PVC but the hard part was the top intake and some sort of mesh to keep from sucking an errant bird into it. I finally found a piece of plastic mesh from the hardware store. Is there a mesh prefilter of sorts on your snorkel?

I have always wondered how those affect how a yota runs when installed. Would it make a negative affect or even (when not being used in intended use) a postive effect by allowing colder air?

yes i have pre screens for them. but i dont use one on mine . and thanks i have worked hard to put these together. i have no high dollar tools just a grinder with a cutoff disc and a wire welder.it takes me a full two days to get one cut, fitted and welded. yes it does effect the way my 4cyl 22re runs...keep in mind my engine is stock the truck has 33" tires with 4,10 gears the truck wouldnt run down the highway in 5th gear before installing, now it gain speed in 5th gear going up hill.and it seems to run even better when its cold out side. also droped my engine temp by 20 and picked up about 4 mile per gallon.but the fuel milage my be do inpart to the custom 3" exhaust i built to match the snorkel
