what sort of battery do you have.

you want a good batter that has a lot of COLD CRANKING AMPS. if it does not then you have a hard time starting it int he winter. also maybe your oil is too thick i run 10w40 in the winter usually.

Battery is new but I will do some checking on cold cranking amps the battery does not quit it just won't start. Possible oil I can change it to 10/40. Any other ideas?

ya fuel filter or i bet water in the fuel line.

dump a bottle of rubbing alcohol in it and it will take out any water. or get some

HEET heet from the auto parts store.

the cold start injector is a good place to start, mine went out and it would not start when it was cold

Ktoy thanks for the knowledgeable ideas,
Well I got home later then I thought about 7:30. Just got done changing out the air filter. My son said he had looked at it and it looked fine he failed to take it out and turn it over it was a really nice looking white on the top side. Once it was taken out it was full of stuff and not good stuff. Tomorrow morning will be the test to see if the air filter was part of the problem. If I can get home eariler tomorrow I will check out the fuel especially if it doesn't start in the morning. Wrnchplr great idea for the cold air injector but where would I find that critter?

the cold start injector is located on the intake manifold if you are looking at the intake on the right side were all the hoses and crap hook on it is black has a wire conector and a hard line that supplys gas it bolts to the side just right of the I for EFI forgive the pic taken at midnight with my phone.

Also you can buy a bottle of HEET to put in the gas. It removes water from the fuel lines, basically the same as rubbing alcohol.

It seems to have been the cold sensor down by the thermostat. Toyota says it senses the cold and send a signal to the cold injector to send more fuel. Thanks everyone for the help
