sup man. im assuming on a 92 toyota hence the name pretaco right ?
first one took me 12 hours because i had idiots helping me. and all i had was a couple of floor jacks and tools.
2nd body lift took us like 4-5 hours with non idiots.
3rd took a couple of hours but it was just a cab.
then our last body lift took about 4 hours... so i would say 4-6 hours depending on your shop and lifts and floor jacks and help.
for starters make sure you are not going to be accidently disconnecting any vacuum lines. on a 92 it should be no problem 88's and older usually have that issue.
2nd do the cab first and use loctite on every bolt.
also make sure you disconnect the bracket that holds the power steering lines to the front of the grill ( actually right behind the grill) as u cab moves up those hoses need slack in them. also there is a ground on the firewall that has to removed and spliced or left off.
then do you bed and make sure you disconnect your gas hose.
also you might need to add hose depending on if you kit came with it ( performance accesories come with this stuff if its a 3 inch body lift)
then loctite the rear bolts makeing sure you line the bed up with the cab.
i think if we had to do one now we could do it in 2 hours no problem.

If you live in an area that see's salt, or rust. than your going to spend hours trying to remove the siezed old body mounts just so you can re-use em.
If you want my suggestion, buy new Poly Body Mounts,
This way you take out your trusty sawsall and Cut threw the old body mounts and bolt (zip zip zip donw),Jack up that side of the truck, pop in a new poly body mount the lift block, and bolt it all down.
The Poly Body mounts will also give you a better ride, as the stock ones are old and probably cracking now anyway

sweet well thanks guys, im am still tryin to decide if i want to do it or not. i already have a 5" suspension so i dont know how safe a body lift is. and the more i think about it is just for looks because it is just my dd. If i dont do it ill just throw more money at the samurai!
so what else you planning on doing to the sami ?? should start a post about your sami what done and what you plan on doing.
also we are thinking of hitting MM again sunday just so you know.
