Getting ready to order a OME Heavy lift for our 96 LX450. Im planning on running 285/75 16 on the stock rims (probably BFG AT's but im going to try and talk Discount into a deal on MTRs). My question is the height of the lift. I was all desided on the 2.5 inch height from slee, but when I called OME they have pretty much any height you want. I didnt realize i could go 2, 2.5 or 3 inches. I realize the differance is probably minimal to not even noticable, but i wanted to get everyone's opinion first and see if anyone had any problems or good things to say about this range of set up.
Thanks in advance!
Chris

I have the 2.5" OME lift, Its a great size for me, When you start going over 2.5/3" you start getting into brakeline upgrades, drive lines, castor correcters.
If you are getting the heavies I think it will be around a 3" lift, Do you have a winch or heavy front bumper? If so I would go with J's or the heavy, It may be the same thing?!? :dunno:
Im looking for some new tires too, I have some 1/2 used 255/85/16's and have thought about getting some 285/75/16's ...Time will tell :devillook
Good luck

I ran the 2.5 mediums on my last one with 33s. thats a great way to go because you really dont have to mess with anything else. Also remember that your Lexus came with softer springs from the factory so if you go to the heavy springs your really going to notice a difference. And if you decide you want more hight after that then just put Slee's plates on and Man-a-fre's spacers and youve got another 1.25 inches. I use those examples because its pretty cost effective. Good Luck.
