ok so i got these new off-road lights and they throw some a pretty wide beam and i can see alot more. but the thing is is that tehy are almost if not brighter than my headlights. i think my headlight are going out anyway, cuz they are this real orange/yellow color, and they arent very bright. what is a good upgrade for high/low beam headlights? i dont want the real ricey blue but something white would be nice. also do you have to get new "lights" or jsut new bulbs? any suggestions??? thanks...
im assuming we are talking about your 92 extra cab here.

These are the headlights I put on my 86. I like them because the bulbs are interchangable and you can put really bright bulbs in them. I put the PIAA Star White H4 bulbs in them. They are pretty bright and have similar characteristics to HID's. The total cost was about $135.00 but I think that it was worth the expense. The PIAA Star White bulbs were the expensive part ($79.00). They already come with bulbs though, but I don't think they are bright enough.

I would just get some silverstar or HID bulbs and put them in there. Your looking at $20 a bulb but its worth it.

so yea i went down to the auto parts store and bought a couple of the silverstar bright white headlights. they are the ones that have the "HID" qualities...they were like $20 each...not to bad...but heres my problem...how exactly do you change the lights...? the service manual says to take the grile off...but after i took of all the little clippies holding it on, it wouldnt budge...i also took out the screws holding on the parking lights so the whole thing seems loose, but wont come off...we messed with it forever tonight and i have no clue...i did however "bump" into my friend the other day, and although it wasnt that hard i think it still may have pinched the grile flanges on the bottom inbetween the the top of the bumper..? what you guys think???
i think u need to get your grill off and possibly take your bumper off. im sure your missing a clip somwhere.

yea im thinkin i do need to take the bumper off...its got to be pinched somewhere...who'd a thought that swapin out some headlights would take all this... and those clips!!! what the hell were they thinking when they put them in there...almost all of them broke when we depressed the little part to disengage them...i know i can pick those up down at a local store or at least find them but what the hell ever happen to screws!!!
a lot of ppl take the clips off and use some wood screws that fit int he square hole and just screw it back in lightly.

One on top, and one on bottom closer to the left side, that's probably why it won't come off.

I just ziptied mine
zipties and duct tape can fix anything!!
that really sucks having to take off the bumper
I'm not too familiar with the 92's but depending on how far its pushed up you should probably try to bend either the bumper or the mounts back down so you don't have to do it again
(never underestimate the power of a metal pole cemented into the round and tow straps, you can bend any bumper in the way you want lol
