I installed the DIY weld on locks and followed all the steps and still have leaks ,does any one have any ideas?
where did you buy your kit from ??
what rims did you weld them on too ???
pics of your welds and what welder did you use ??
who welded them for you ??
and do you know where they are leaking ??
easiest solution is to put nitrogen in the tires instead of regular air. co2 also has less leaks.
you asking y nitrogen right ??
nitrogen molecules are bigger/less dense than air molecules. hence if they are bigger they wont escape out of small holes like air does sense its small molecules.

Got them from Great Lakes did the welding myself on AR rockcrawler wheels. They are leaking where the welded ring meets the bead.I tested my welds to make sure and found no leaks there.I have heard of useing some bead sealer that the tire shops use on tractor tires.Ever tried that?
nope i havnt. silicone ??
but seriosuly nitrogen would solve the problem i bet.

sealer is tire soap looks like wax works for setting beads really well to. Also I concere with the nitrogen, one of the unit I teach uses a membrane that sorts nitro for the atomsphere used in aircraft struts, doesn't have moisture either if you get it in the gaseous state.

welding shops and hvac supply shops use it for leak checking, usually have it you can get it in a power tank
